Performance at Persia Club, Worthing

SVA is organising a gig for students to perform in at The Persia Bar, Worthing. Students will get the opportunity to sing 2/3 songs each, which they have rehearsed during lessons in front of friends and family. Gigs are normally put on at Ivy Arch Studios but SVA decided to make this gig a bigger affair so are hiring out a larger venue for students to perform in. It will be a great learning experience and lots of fun for all performers and students friends and family can witness how far they are progressing. As the gig is being held in a bar any persons wishing to purchase alcohol on the premises will need proof of I.D.

Two of SVAs young students compete at The Park Grand Finals 2008!

Bryony and Samantha, both aged 9 competed this year in a Park Finals singing competition. They both smashed Belinda Carlisles Heaven is a Place on Earth. One of the judges even commented on two girls at such a young age being talented enough to sing in harmony with eachother! Though 2100 people took part in the competition the girls made it to the grand final, although they did not come 1st we are still dead proud of them for getting so far!

BBC contact SVA looking for new talent for Eurovision 2009.

The BBC has called upon the exceptional talents of Andrew Lloyd Webber to compose a song which will be the 2009 UK Eurovision entry. COULD YOU BE THE NEXT UK ENTRY TO MAKE YOUR PUB AND THE BRITISH PUBLIC PROUD? Lloyd Webber and the BBC are embarking on a search for an act that will sing Andrew's song, represent the UK and be shot to European stardom. All applicants must be at least 17 years old on 1st January 2009. Closing date is 5pm on 21st November 2008 GOOD LUCK!! If you would like more information, please contact SVA.

SVA Welcomes New Tutor!

It is amazing just how popular SVA has become - the school and demand for singing lessons just keeps growing and growing! In order to keep up with the high demand of lessons, SVA welcomes new Vocal Tutor Chip Jenkins! Chip has an enormous amount of experience, she has been teaching for 10 yrs and currently works at Brighton Institute of Modern Music and Chichester University.
